Classification (9 Classes)

Hazmat Label - Corrosive

  1. Explosives (Dynamite).
  2. Gases (Flammable, Non-flammable, Toxic).
  3. Flammable Liquids (Petrol, Alcohol).
  4. Flammable Solids.
  5. Oxidizing Substances.
  6. Toxic & Infectious Substances (Poisons, Virus cultures).
  7. Radioactive Material.
  8. Corrosives (Acids, Batteries).
  9. Miscellaneous (Dry ice, Lithium batteries, Magnets).

NOTOC (Notification to Captain)

The pilot must be informed in writing about DG on board:

  • Proper Shipping Name.
  • UN Number.
  • Class/Division.
  • Weight/Quantity.
  • Location (Hold number).
  • Emergency Response (Drill Code).

Forbidden Items

Some items are strictly forbidden (e.g., Strike-anywhere matches, liquid oxygen devices).
