Regulations

- IATA DGR: Dangerous Goods Regulations (Operational manual used by airlines).
Classification (9 Classes)
- Explosives (Dynamite).
- Gases (Flammable, Non-flammable, Toxic).
- Flammable Liquids (Petrol, Alcohol).
- Flammable Solids.
- Oxidizing Substances.
- Toxic & Infectious Substances (Poisons, Virus cultures).
- Radioactive Material.
- Corrosives (Acids, Batteries).
- Miscellaneous (Dry ice, Lithium batteries, Magnets).
NOTOC (Notification to Captain)
The pilot must be informed in writing about DG on board:
- Proper Shipping Name.
- UN Number.
- Class/Division.
- Weight/Quantity.
- Location (Hold number).
- Emergency Response (Drill Code).
Forbidden Items
Some items are strictly forbidden (e.g., Strike-anywhere matches, liquid oxygen devices).
